Barber Bob Has a Barbercue - September 2000

Barber Bob was sick and tired of being around bakers, chefs, and artists, so he decided to make new friends that were barbers. He was trying to figure out how to meet some, when his pet parakeet named Biting Brian said, “Put an invitation in the newspaper for all barbers to come to a barbecue.”

“Better yet I’ll have a Barbercue!” exclaimed B.B.

So he wrote the invitation and this is what it said:

All Barbers Come to Barbercue At
1639 Bob Ave.
Bobsville
On April 17 from 2:30-6:00! Please Bring Food.

He would only invite three people who weren’t barbers: Artist Artie, Chef Cory, and his younger brother Baker Billy. He had to get everything set up because the Barbercue was only a day away. He got in his car and drove to the Bobsville Mall. He had only been there a couple times and he didn’t know his way around.

Luckily, he found the BobMart and got all the groceries and bowls and other things too. While he was in there he bumped into Artist Artie. A.A. showed him where everything was. Before B.B. left, he invited A.A. to the Barbercue and Artist Artie said that he would tell Chef Cory. So Barber Bob went home and set everything up. He was so tired from the day that he fell asleep outside at 8:00 P.M.

When he woke up the next morning it was almost 11:30. Barber Bob ran into the house and brought out all the food. The phone rang and B.B. answered it. It was Chef Cory. He called to say that he was coming over early.

As soon as Barber Bob hung up the phone, Artist Artie and Chef Cory were at the door. He let them in, and they all watched television until the Barbercue.

A few hours later, it was 4:53 and the last person came. Barber Bob had already become friends with everyone there when the doorbell rang. Barber Bob answered it.

There was a monkey at the door whose name was Barber Booky, and he brought Barber Bob’s favorite food, a blueberry pie. They introduced themselves and it turned out they had a lot more in common than anyone in the world. They instantly became the best of friends.

Chef Cory and Baker Billy did all the cooking, and when it was time to eat, everyone thought it was the best barbecued food on the entire planet. When it was time for dessert, Barber Bob and Barber Booky made hundreds of pies for everyone because they all liked the pies.

At 6:00 everyone left but Artist Artie, Chef Cory, Baker Billy, and Barber Booky. They were going to sleep overnight. Before they went to sleep they all agreed it was the best night they ever had in their lives.
